Bhringraj is one of the distinguished medicinal herbs used in preparation of ayurvedic medicines. It is one of the prominent herbs used as an ayurvedic medicine for treatment of Hair loss, premature greying, ect. It is mainly used as an ayurvedic tonic for hair care. It is a small annual plant found in wet land throughout India. All the parts of the plant are used for medicinal preparations. It is used for the treatment of devitalized hair. Bhringraj is used along with other herbs such as amla, shikakai as a hair rinse and conditioner. It is also used with oils such as coconut oil and sesame oil for the preparation of hair oils for conditioning oil treatment. Bhringraj oil when massaged on to the scalp, gives a calming effect and promotes a good sleep.

Ayurvedic remedy for Bald head /Batta tala
Mix Bhringaraj / Guntagalagara leaves juice and radish (mullangi rasam) and apply to the hair lost part on the head every night and massage it well.Wash the head with soap nut juice ( kunkudu rasam) in the morning .

Along with this do yoga asana such as sarvangasanam , mathyasanam ,ustrasanam .
Along with this eat the combination of guntagalagara ,black sesame seeds ( nalla nuvvulu ) , amla (usirika) powders with a spoon of honey everyday both morning and evening .Gradually hair starts growing in the bald head part.

karakkaya / Haritaki
karakkaya is a common herbaceous plant, which is very extensively used in the preparation of many ayurvedic medicines.
Many ayurvedic medicinal formulations are prepared from the fruits of the karakkaya plant. The extract obtained from karakkaya fruit contains a substance which has antibacterial and anti fungal properties. This substance inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi such as E. coli. Escherichia coli is the most common organism, which is responsible for many types of infections such as infections of the urinary tract. karakkaya extract is very useful in the treatment of infections caused by E.coli. karakkaya is also believed to have powerful effect on parasites such as Amoeba giardia and many others.

Haritaki is used as a natural cleanser of the digestive system. It improves the functioning of the liver spleen and the colon and hence it is widely used as a digestive tonic.
Haritaki is used in the treatment of mouth ulcers, stomatitis, asthma, cough, candidiasis, gastroenteritis, skin diseases, leprosy ect. It is also used for treatment of intermittent fever, rheumatic pain and fever, wounds and arthritis. Haritaki is one of the best herbs for treatment of Vatadosha. It is used as a natural remedy for Vata disturbances like flatulence, indigestion ect. Haritaki is contradicted in person with weak digestion and also in pregnancy. Haritaki is also believed to improve intelligence and alertness in a person.
It is reputed to cure blindness and it is believed to inhibit the growth of malignanttumours. Kala Namak is a dark salt used in Indian cooking.
The dry nut's peel is used to cure cold-related nagging coughs. The bark/peel of the nut is placed in the cheek. Although the material does not dissolve, the resulting saliva, bitter in taste, is believed to have medicinal qualities to cure cold related coughs. Its fruit has digestive, anti-inflammatory, anthelmentic, cardiotonic, aphrodisiac and restorative properties and is additionally beneficial in flatulence, constipation, piles, cough and colds.

n Urdu and Hindi it is called Harad, Haritaki, or Harada, respectively 'Inknut'. In Sri Lanka it is called Aralu. In Marathi it is called as 'Hirada', in Kannada it is called 'Alalekaayi' and in Tamil it is called 'Kadukkai'. In Bengali it is called horitoky. In Assamese it is called Hilikha. In Telugu it is called 'Karakkaya'. In the United States it is found in some Indian stores; it is known as 'Harde Whole'.

The Ayurvedic texts list pippali as one of the most powerful Rasayana herbs, meaning it is a longevity enhancer. Pippali is one of the most widely used Ayurvedic herbs.
Pippali is one of the best herbs for enhancing digestion, assimilation and metabolism of the foods. Pippali enhances the metabolic processes. Also used in cough and throat pain, Rheumatism, leprosy, and consumption. The herb is also believed to improve vitality.
